  • The web based Hotmail application by Microsoft has been a staple online for a very long time. We’ve seen very few updates and things seem to be more or less of the same. With of 365 million users you would think that Microsoft would try and leverage their base into applications that are more mobile friendly.

Microsoft recently held a press conference called Give Hotmail a Second Look. It was designed as an event to showcase some new features of the service. Most were expecting and hoping for a radically change in the user interface to compete better with Google Gmail and other popular email based programs. Instead the new features are mostly under the hood and based around syncing you email with other devices such as unlocked cell phone like unlocked Sony Ericsson XPERIA PLAY 3G.Microsoft Hotmail App Available for Android

The biggest announcement is the launch of an Android app for Hotmail. The main features of the app are support for calendar and contact syncing as well as 2-way email. You can now also automatically categorize you mail into folders and easily trash any email you no longer wish to receive. Microsoft will even assist in the process by communicating with the sender for you that you are no longer interested in getting email from them. Another important feature is the ability to flag messages. Think of it similar to the Google priority inbox, you can make certain emails from certain people more important. There is also a useful scheduling feature where you can set instructions / filter up to automatically process emails a certain why once it hit a certain date.

The user interface has stayed the same but the new features are important to note as they help email management be a lot easier and also is starting to support native devices such as mobile phones like unlocked Samsung Nexus S. We assume that Microsoft will continue on the path of updating its services to stay in line with the times.

  • Who Buys Items in Freemium Games
Posted on September 12, 2011 by Pure Mobile

The “freemium” style of games allows cell phone users such as unlocked Samsung Nexus S to download the base of the game for free, while being able to buy upgrades throughout its use. Interesting statistic is knowing and realizing who was able to spend the most money on these games. While you might think that it is children spending the most money on free games that is not exactly true. While people ages 13 to 17 years old plate 22% of the amount of time and again, only 5% of the revenues generated from this age group. 32% of game time is racked by by 18 to 24-year-olds, only spends 16% of the total revenue. The bulk of the revenue comes from people in the 25 to 34-year-old age range. They spent 29% of the total amount of time playing again, while racking up more than 49% of the total revenue. It shows that people in the 25 to 34 year old range have the money to spend on a game, but may not necessarily be the ones to play the most."free+premium"

Another hotbed for revenues 35 to 54 age range. Play 14% of the total amount in these games, while spending a total of 28% of the overall revenue individuals 55 and older account for percent of the playtime and 2% of the overall revenue. This shows that people that are middle-aged, in this day and age, still play a fair amount of games, but are more likely to spend a large amount on it than other people."mobile-games"

The freemium games structure has risen to prominence on the PC as well as mobile phones such as unlocked Sony Ericsson XPERIA PLAY 3G. It will be interesting, to say the least, to see if this style of game development continues to be popular moving forward, or  to see if it falls off like some of the previous styles of development.

  • American Airlines To Offer Galaxy Tab 10.1 To First ClassEver forgot your laptop or tablet when you get on a flight and wished that the airline provided one to you? Well now you might finally have the chance to live that little scenario out. American Airlines has announced that they are going to start providing the unlocked Samsung (Galaxy Tab 10.1) to their riders that are sitting in first class. This will be an option that is only going to be available on some of the longer flights that the company has to offer, but if it is a hit we could start seeing it more and more.

So far, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 will be available on flights from Los Angeles to New York, San Francisco to New York, Boston to Los Angeles and Also Los Angeles to Miami. This is the first airline to begin this practice, but if it is successful you can bet that they will not be the last. All of the flights that the tablet will be allowed on will be 757s. These tablets may or may not come loaded with various apps, that information has not been released at this time. They will probably not have internet access, and if they do it will probably be provided by the airline itself to make sure that the device does not mess with any of the dials and functions on the plane.

American Airlines To Offer Galaxy Tab 10.1 To First Class

So far more than 6,000 tablets have been ordered by the company in total, and American Airlines will also be offering their passenger’s access to their onboard WiFi, which many expected following the announcement of the tablets being offered to their first class customers. Hopefully they will be able to put some movies and music on the tablets as well to increase the potential for entertainment on the devices.

  • Samsung Google Nexus S Review
Posted on March 3, 2011 by Pure Mobile

The Unlocked Samsung Google Nexus S is a phone that has surprising slipped under the radar in recent months despite the fact that it has been connected to two of the biggest names in the mobile industry. All around the Samsung Google Nexus S is a great offering, both in terms of hardware as well as in usability and in design.

It features a 1 GHZ Hummingbird CPU and 512 MB of RAM - More than enough to run Gingerbread, the 2.3 version of Android that the device utilizes. It’s four inch screen has a 800 x 480 Super AMOLED display that delivers top notch visuals and also has a five megapixel camera on the back, rear facing side of the phone as well as a VGA front facing camera that will allow you to video chat.

The design is sleek. The phone looks great, is light weight and can easily be stored in the pocket. The sound quality of the Samsung Google Nexus S is much better than previous devices in the S line, and the sounds on the other end are crystal clear and easy to hear.

The camera looks great, feels great and is leaps and bounds above other similar devices. The Gingerbread software is part of the reason why the phone has been so well reviewed, and the features provided through the software update are top of the line.

It is a mystery as to why the Samsung Google Nexus S Unlocked has not received more attention since it was first confirmed and announced. Perhaps users have been turned off by the problems that the Nexus One faced when it was first released - but that certainly should not stop you if you are looking for an excellent phone that comes with Gingerbread and has the hardware to back up even the most taxing of applications.
