  • The United States broadband companies have been notorious for not providing cell phone users such as unlocked Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate, HTC Incredible, etc with the speeds that they have advertised when they sign up. Now, it appears that these companies are approaching levels that they have advertised and are getting faster. Most of the limits that these companies advertise are far from what they offer and they have not been able to put together the speed that they have been advertising so far. A study that was recently conducted by the Federal Communications Commission states that a number of Internet service providers throughout the US have been getting between 80 and 90% of the speed that they have advertised their users. This is a level that we have not seen companies operate out in the past and you can bet that these rates will continue to increase following this report.

US Broadband Nearing Speeds That Were Advertised

The report examined 13 of the nation’s top Internet service providers including the likes of Comcast, AT&T, Verizon, and even Time Warner. Three of the most popular broadband technologies that were included when the study was conducted included cable, fiber optics, and DSL. The data rates have been close to the speed that was advertised according to the report, which is much better than some of the previous reports that have been released. US companies have been notorious for not getting anywhere close to the advertised rates of their plans, but this recent support suggests that perhaps these companies have been working on making it an overall better experience for users who have been somewhat let down by the speeds not coming anywhere close to the level that was advertised when they signed up for the plan. It will be interesting to see how these numbers change moving into the future, but this can only be looked at as a good thing by the millions of users were currently utilizing American ISPs for their internet and data.

  • The ability to make mobile payments straight from your mobile device such as unlocked Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate, iphone 4 is something that we have seen a lot of companies playing with over the course of the last few months. With Google launching their latest Google Wallet application that will allow for users to make mobile payments by utilizing a number of different credit card processing companies, it now appears that Verizon is going to be integrating mobile payments along with American Express and other daily usage. The agreement that was put in place today will allow for wireless customers to make mobile payments straight from their mobile devices by utilizing their Serve account, which is the equivalent of PayPal which was opened by American Express a short time ago. It is clear that mobile devices are heading in the way of mobile payments, and agreements like this are going to be a part of making a mainstream technology in the future.

This is probably going to be one of many agreements that we see from companies in the very near future. As we inch closer toward a mainstream system for mobile payments, it is clear that companies like Verizon are looking to better and more easily put together a system that allows for them to open a mobile payment to as many of their users as possible.

Verizon to Add Mobile Payment Integration from American Express

The Serve system that American Express released earlier in the year is supposed to rival PayPal and open up mobile payments of more users through the American Express platforms. It will be interesting to see if they are able to will popularize the mobile payment platform through aggressive expansion moving forward. Putting an appropriate amount of time and effort into learning how to make mobile payments will definitely benefit users moving into the future, as it is clear that the mobile industry is heading toward mobile payments.

  • A number of pictures made their way online of what looks to be the unlocked Samsung Galaxy S II white. The device has been one that does receive a lot of attention after becoming very popular among users. There have been a number of rumors to come out about the upcoming white version of the device, but we had not seen it as of yet. It will be interesting to see if the device in the leaked pictures is the same one we hard about just one day after the retailer of the device promised that the colorless white version of the following would go on sale on the 15th of August.

Pic of Possible White Galaxy S II Leaks Online

The pictures that made their way online show that the device will be completely white except for the Samsung logo on the back of the device. It is not currently clear if they are planning on releasing additional models of the device and the white-collar moving forward, but you can bet that that fact will be highly dependent upon the popularity of this device.

Pic of Possible White Galaxy S II Leaks Online

In all, the pictures of the upcoming phone appear to be very good and users are likely very excited about the possible update. A number of other phones including the Apple’s unlocked iPhone 4 have considered releasing a white version of the phone, but this may be the first one that we see released on a wide scale like this. The phone has already drawn a lot of attention after the official update, and it will be interesting to see if the pictures that made their way online or of the announced device or if they are fakes that have made their way around. The Galaxy S II white version will probably be a very popular version among current users of the device and could potentially be a big hit for the company, which I am sure, what they are hoping for.

  • It is amazing to believe that with just two different models of their smartphone available, Apple was able to take over two thirds of the profits from smartphone sales in the second quarter among the top companies around the world. The news was released by Strategy Analytics just after the company announced that they believed at all with the smart phone vendor in the lead in terms of volume around the world. It is clear that Apple’s unlocked iphone 4 is the number one Smart phone company around the world, but a number of other countries are following closely behind.

Four of the eight major vendors of smart devices around the world were profitable during the second quarter of this year. Apple’s other profit share jumped from 50% during the second half of last year to a total of 57% in the first quarter of 2011, oh the way to 66.3% during the second quarter of this year. To say the least, it will be interesting to see if they are able to continue this upward trend and profit.

Thank You for choosing PureMobile . You have a great day ahead. Take care and good bye !!

Apple’s iphone 4 unlocked receiving two thirds of the profit share for the quarter is something that you definitely probably saw coming, but not at the margin in which we saw. The company continues to grow their revenue, profits and has a huge amount of money sitting around waiting to be spent; you can bet that the company will continue to find ways to increase their overall profit. Other companies in their proper share from the previous quarter include Samsung at 15% and HTC at 11% up nearly 6% from the previous quarter. With these three companies being on top of things in almost every major editorial, you can bet that we could see some heavily aggressive behavior from them in the future. Apple appears to be in a spot where they could pull away and given their current state, in large amount of capital that they have on hand.

  • A recent study that was conducted by Retrovo Labs has stated that there are more than 1000 US customers report of the survey stated that they were looking for an Amazon tablet, assuming that it was the right price. If 5% of those surveyed said that they wanted to see an Amazon tablet at some point in the near future. 31 percent of those surveyed stated that they were looking for a tablet device from Motorola phone comparatively 31% of those surveyed stated that they wanted to see Hewlett-Packard device. Other highly scoring companies including Samsung Intel, both of whom received 38% of the vote.

Study Shows Users Want Amazon Tablet

Only 24% of those surveyed said that they weren’t looking for a device from Research In Motion. 21% also said Barnes & Noble, coming in last place on the survey. It will be interesting to see if they are able to put together a tablet in response to service such as this one. It appears that there is a huge section of the market that is eagerly awaiting Amazon to make a tablet device. It will be interesting to see if they are able to respond to calls from the market that has supported them. It is a bit strange considering that Amazon is not particularly thought of as a technology company that produces products, and more so as a web store, but the recent changes that have been made by the company have changed their view with the public that is generally happy with the devices that they have released as their Internet book reading sales are off the charts. It will be interesting to see if the tablet that they do someday release meets or exceeds the demands of those that are eagerly awaiting the release of any tablet that they have. It will be interesting to see if they are able to release a tablet at some point in the very near future.
