Qtek GSM Phones
Company Description
Qtek is a subsidiary company of the High Tech Computer Corporation (HTC), a global leader of convergent mobile GSM devices using the Windows Mobile platform.
The Qtek name was used by HTC to market their mobile GSM phones for the European market. They had created Qtek as a stand-alone brand to sell mobile devices that were not shipped to operators.
As of June 2006, HTC officially announced that it was no longer manufacturing Qtek
GSM phones. Instead, HTC will sell mobile handsets under its own brand
name, and distribute their HTC
mobile phones through the same channels as Qtek.
This should enable HTC
to solidify its branding strategy and receive the recognition it deserves
as an innovative, mobile phones manufacturer.
