    LG X3 Leaked

LG’s high-end Android smartphone offerings have been somewhat disappointing in the past.  As such,  when we caught wind of the upcoming LG X3 superphone we were unsure how to react in expectation of this new device.  However, based on the information provided Paul O’Brien of MoDaCo, the anonymously leaked screenshots and benchmarks for this handset, LG may have a winner on its hands when they unveil the LC X3 as their new flagship device at this month’s Mobile World Congress.

Through our multitude of industry contacts... we were able to secure information relative the feature list will include:

    • Tegra 3 Quad core processor (1.5GHz on single core, 1.4GHz when on 2-4 cores) + SMP Core (core companion) for IDLE task operations which will save battery life
    • 2000mAh battery

What can we glean from the screenshots?  They suggest that the X3 will have either a lightly skinned version of LG’s overlay running or simply stock Android ICS (4.0.3). The quad-core processor previously mentioned should mean great performance for everyday tasks. And with 16GB internal memory that can be expanded to 48GB thanks to an internal microSD slot, a power processor helps ensure that users have the space to download, stream, and share their music, photos and other data.

Enhance your mobility and turn your device into a power tool!  Discover select accessories such as; stylus & pens, micro SD memory cards, batteries, docking stations, Bluetooth headsets, data cables and glider gloves all specifically designed to make your devices functionally efficient and performance rich.

Interested consumers may look forward to seeing a 2000mAh battery, 8 megapixel rear-facing camera that supposedly rocks an uber fast shutter. The front-facing camera isn’t as impressive, but will get the job done in a pinch. Through in an NFC chip and you can one of those neat NFC chip enable smartphone protective case wallets that bring a new meaning to fashion and function.

We are optimistic that LG will bring a worthy contender to the Mobile World Congress and dispel the misgivings and fears of those that been scared off by less than stellar mobile OS experiences with LG. If they fall flat, at least we will not be adrift in an Android-less sea of smartphone offerings from other manufacturers.

  • Sony Ericsson Xperia X3
Posted on September 18, 2009 by Pure Mobile

With the Xperia X1 still fresh in people's minds and the Xperia X2 not even on the market yet it looks like the Sony Ericsson Xperia X3 might be released in January 2010.  The Xperia X3 looks like it will be the first Android from Sony Ericsson.

We actually saw our first glimpse of the Xperia X3 a few months ago when images of the Sony Ericsson Rachel hit the web.  It is rumored to have an 8 mega-pixel camera built in, WiFi, GPS, microSD expansion, email support for POP3 and even Microsoft Exchange.

I guess for now we will just have to wait see when Sony Ericsson makes the official announcement on the Xperia X3.

  • Four New Phones Coming Soon
Posted on September 3, 2009 by Pure Mobile

This week 4 new phones have been announced by Nokia and Sony Ericsson.  Nokia has announced the Nokia X3, Nokia X6 and the Nokia N97 Mini.  Sony Ericsson on the other hand has announced the Sony Ericsson Xperia X2.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 is going to be released similar to the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1.  The Xperia X2 is going to come in a X2 and X2a version.  Basically one (X2a) will have 3G for North America and the other (X2) will have European 3G.  The Xperia X2 is going to have Windows Mobile Professional 6.5, Wifi, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, and even an 8MP camera built in.  All in all the Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 does seem like a nice upgrade from the popular Xperia X1

Nokia's first phone is a follow up the the Nokia N97.  The new phone is the Nokia N97 Mini.  It is a strange release because the N97 Mini is pretty much the same as the N97.  If you are wondering the difference one website saide the Nokia N97 Mini is the N97 at 90% the size.  Basically it's not really that mini.  It still has the 8GB of internal memory, the 5MP camera and the FM transmitter.  If you found the N97 to be a little bulky then you should definitely give the Nokia N97 Mini smartphone a look

The second phone is the Nokia X3.  This is rumored to be a lower budget phone.  The rumor is that the Nokia X3 will cost around $150USD, but that has yet to be determined.  The X3 looks to be a really nice phone.  It's going to be a slider without 3G capabilities.  It will have a 3.2MP camera, Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP, and will support up to a 16GB MicroSD card.

The last phone that Nokia accounced was the Nokia X6.  This new phone will be a touch screen phone.  It will have 32GB of internal storage, a 5MP camera, European 3G and up to 8h 30mins talk time.  The Nokia X6 looks to be a really nice touch screen phone.

All these phones are expected to be out for Q4 2009.  If they will be pushed back we can't say but for now we are eagerly awaiting all the new phones.
