  • It looks as though the numbers of shipped iPad to tablet devices by Apple is not going to be slowing down anytime soon. The company has announced that they’re looking to ship a total of 20 million iPad two tablets throughout the third quarter of this year. Although there have been rumors going around previously that Apple was looking at releasing a revamped version of the iPad, which would be available at some point during this fall, it now appears that they are not going to be heading in that direction and that the rumors were actually false. At this point it is pretty hard to determine whether or not the rumors that come out about current Apple products are true or not. There’s been a lot of speculation as to what Apple’s next move is going to be regarding their popular tablet, and it appears as if a large amount of the rumors that have been going around have been false.

Apple Will Ship More Than 20 Million iPad 2 Q3

During the company’s previous earnings call, they stated that they sold a total of 9.2 5 million tablets during the June quarter. It should also be noted that they did fall little bit short of their overall demand in a number of different regions. What this means is that the company potentially could have sold more. The 20 million that is expected to be shipped during the third quarter proves that the company has a huge following for their tablet that is going to continue through the release of the iPad three, which at this point, if you believe the rumors, appears to be slated for sometime next year.

It will be interesting to see if the future versions of the device continue to live up to the hype, or if they fall short of expectations. The Company has been consistently reaching and surpassing the expectations of most, and it looks as though they will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.

  • Sony To Offer New Android Tablet S and P
Posted on September 2, 2011 by Pure Mobile

Sony is going to be offering a number of brand-new tablets that showed shakeup atop the industry based on what we have seen so far. They’re going to be launching the Sony Tablet S and Tablet P, the two tablets that were once known as the S1 and the S2. They have been looking to break into the tablet market such as unlocked Motorola Xooom, HTC Flyer, etc..  for quite some time, and have been able to put together a couple of very interesting tablets here. Although the tablets will be equipped with a NVIDIA dual core Tegra 2 processor, which has become an industry standard over the course of the last few years. It will have front and rear facing cameras on both models of the device along with an SD card slot.

Sony To Offer New Android Tablet S and P

The Tablet S will feature a 9.4 inch screen that is ergonomic and will be able to reach to the demands of most users. Sony has also run a web browser and the mix with their quick view, and the P version of the tablet will fall in the center with two separate touchscreens on either side of the tablet.

It is good to see that there are going to be entering the tablet market in an effort to compete with companies such as Apple do a very good job of marketing their own tablets. Although these tablets look very interesting and look as though they will be able to meet the demands of the users who have been eagerly awaiting the release of these tablets. It will be interesting to see if they are able to garner the demand for their tablets in the same way that other companies have. So far the tablet market seems to be dominated by Apple, but there is a lot of space for a company with some quality time at work that way. Perhaps a Sony tablet running on the Google operating system software will be able to be one of the first to truly compete with the iPad in a big way.

  • The tablet market has been heating up in recent weeks. With Apple successfully launching their unlocked iphone 4 and iPad 2 device to much critical acclaim, it appears as if SamSung is attempting to match, if not surpass the features that hte ocmpany offered with the upgraded version of the iPad. They have announced their new Galaxy Tab lineup that they have called the “thinnest mobile tablets” in the world at this time. The new tablets will have both 10.1 inch and 8.9 inch displays. These tablets will be a bit thinner than the iPad, and will be only 8.6 millimeters in width, and will weigh only 595 grams, which is much less than other tablets. The smaller, 8.9 inch display version will only weigh a total of 470 grams, which is nearly as little as some of the heavier smart phones out on the market.

The devices will run on Android 3.0 honeycomb and will have a 1GHz dual core processor. The rear camera on the devices will be three megapixels and will also feature a 2 megapixel front facing camera that is able to record videos up to 1080p HD. All in all,t eh recently announced devices surpass the expectations of the users that have been eagerly awaiting the next version of the Unlocked Samsung Galaxy ( Tab).

They are clearly following in Apple’s footsteps in an attempt to make the tablets as light and thin as possible to make them easily mobile. The 16 GB model of the 10.1 inch screen will cost $499, while the 32 GB will cost $599 total. The 16 GB model of the 8.9 inch model will cost a total of $469 while the 32 GB version will cost $569, which is a big discount over previous versions of the device, with only a slightly smaller screen.
