It looks as if their upcoming Android tablet will be released at some point toward the end of the summer. The online retail company is looking to sell more than 4 million units in total. Estimates of stated that the company is looking to sell a total of 700,000 to 800,000 units per month, which would make it one of the largest tablet releases in the history of the industry. The company also said that a hope that its products would be able to peek during the Christmas season, which is when technology devices typically sell the best.
The devices, which are currently code-named Coyote, which references the dual core version of their upcoming release, and the Hollywood, which references the quad core version of their upcoming release will be released at some point this year. Some have stated that the tablets are already in the manufacturing process, and that the company is looking for a release to come toward the end of summer.
Some of the companies that Amazon is rumored to be working with through the production of these tablets include Texas Instruments among other manufacturing companies that will help them to get a timely release for the upcoming tablet that is expected to compete directly with the iPad. Along with this, Amazon will be launching a streaming movie service that will allow users to stream movie straight to their Amazon tablet, which should make the tablet all that much more popular with users.
