Samsung has had a great year with consistent performance with strong sales from its Galaxy cell phones coupled with its Galaxy Tablet and related mobile device accessories.  To continue the momentum of 2011, Samsung will be launching the Galaxy Note - touted to be a “new category of product” in early 2012.

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus is a pure Android cell phone which comes packed with a 4.0 OS based features and applications coupled with a grand view 4.5 inch display.   who among us doesn't like to see smartphones put through the ringer... from the drop test to the puree speed blender test.
The people of iFixit (http://www.ifixit.com) live for these type of testing.  recently they tore down, ripped apart and did other nasty things to the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.   After the dust settled the Galaxy Nexus was awarded with 'Repairability Score' of 6 out of 10 (with 10 being the easiest to repair).  At times like this we are grateful for cell phone accessories that designed to protect, personalize and enhance your mobile devices.

The rumors abound regarding the development and release of the HTC Edge Smartphone. Preliminary leaks of information indicate the HTC Edge may take the lead of the Smartphone market. As speculation continues to grow, it has been asserted the Edge may be one of the first name brand Smartphones to be powered by a four-quad processor.
 
This has many technology buffs waiting anxiously to get their hands on the HTC Edge. However, while information has been leaked, the makers of the HTC Edge are keeping quiet. Maybe intentionally to create even more hype surrounding the release of this phone.  HTC also provides a myriad of cell phone accessories

Although the days when you might pack up your wallet and head to the CD store to purchase new music are gone, soon too the days of downloading music could be a thing of the past as well. In a time where seemingly everything is moving to the cloud, you have to bet that music will be one of the first industries to make the jump. Music can be easily stored and streamed through the cloud, and everyone wants access to their songs here and now, unwilling to wait for their songs to download or drive to the store to get a hold of them.

T-Mobile is still a company that is expanding despite the fact that they were recently acquired. They will be expanding their new 21 mbps HSPA+ network to two new cities for unlocked cell phone users, including Scranton, PA, famous for being the main city in the TV show “The Office.” This shows that there are still some very interesting plans in the works for a company that was recently acquired. It will be interesting to see if there are plans in the future to continue to expand their network to new locations.

The next owner of BlockBuster will potentially have the future of the company in their hands. The new owner could choose to close all of the movie rental locations, liquidate the assets and move on from the company as a whole. However, they could choose to continue operations within the company, although you have to know that based on the legal troubles that have been seen with the company recently, the chances of them being able to continue with all of their current stores open is very unlikely. They could attempt to compete with streaming video services and keep the brand name, which is highly recognizable.

In this unlocked cell phone world, most take electricity for granted, until they go camping or the power goes out. Everyone has been placed in situations when they are stuck with a dead phone and have no way to charge it. Imagine never having to subject yourself to situations like that one again when you use the Umeox Apollo, which is a solar powered phone.

The device was announced at the Mobile World Congress. There have been a number of previously released solar powered devices that also run on Android in the past, but never has one of these phones been as outwardly impressive as the Umeox Apollo.

Microsoft knows that spam is a serious problem for those that use their Hotmail inboxes through unlocked cell phone. So far, Hotmail users have been able to add a plus sign to their usernames (john.doe+workinfo@hotmail.com) to allow them to better manage their mailbox and help to make the sender identification a bit easier on them in the long run. Microsoft said that the problem with that technique is that it made it fairly easy for spammers to figure out the actual email address that you use, and are looking for a way to keep this from happening.

The Acer beTouch is a  phone that has garnered a lot of attention from a number of different websites in recent days. Although the phone does not boast the most high-powered features in the smart phone industry, it’s low price and simplicity of its features have made the device highly attractive to users who want all the functionality of a smart device without having to deal with the high prices, large size of the phones and complicated features.

The Acer beTouch will feature a 600 MHz processor that is capable of running most of the apps that will be available for the phone through the Android store. It will also feature a 2.8 inch QVGA touchscreen, which is much smaller than most android smart phones, along with a 3.2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.1 capabilities, Wifi enabled and HSDPA connections.

SMS2130 is the new product launched in the upcoming Latin American cell phone TV market by Siano Mobile Silicon, the much talked about cell phone TV receiver chip maker. The chip supports the ISDB-T technology, this technology is also known as ISDB-T “1-Seg.”

The chip suits the exact needs of the of the market of that region as it introduces new optimization levels in cost and performance
Though the SMS2130 will initially launch in Brazil, but soon it will be available in the other Latin American countries including Chile and Argentina.
