  • Sprint will now be carrying another environmentally correct cell phone.  The LG Cell Phone (Remarq) is primarily a messaging phone, which will also allow you to utilize many social networking features.  The biggest deal about this phone is that it is eco-friendly.  It is partially made from recycled plastic and the packaging that the mobile device comes in is mostly made from materials that are recycled as well.  To carry the theme on further, the charger is Energy Star.  We have seen an emergence of environmentally friendly phones, which also includes the Sony Ericsson Aspen unlocked cell phone.

Not only is the phone good for the earth, being manufactured and produced with 87% environmentally friendly products, but it also comes with a really cool eco-calculator application, which will tell you how much CO2 you are saving when you walk or cycle instead of using a car.  The phone also comes with additional features as well.  It has the full slide out QWERTY keyboard.  It also has a 1.3 mega pixel camera, MP3 player and has the MicroSD card slot, which gives you up to 16GB of additional memory.  It is also has stereo Bluetooth.  The phone is great for social media such as Facebook and the phone makes it extremely easy to upload photos to the variety of social networks and Photobucket.

It has all of the built-in accessories we use, such as the alarm clock calculator, notepad clock.  You will be able to send and receive instant messages and e-mail, as well as the ability to access any of your e-mail accounts.  The phone is available in dark silver, as well as turquoise.  Give you 5.5 hours of talk time and has a 320x240 QVGA screen with 262K of color resolution.  It should be available around May 9th.

  • Benefits of an Unlocked Cell Phone
Posted on February 19, 2010 by Pure Mobile

It is very surprising to realize that most people in the United States do not know or understand what an unlocked cell phone is.  I was having dinner with my family this past week, and of course the discussion turned towards cell phones and cell phone plans.  I was explaining that there were numerous benefits to purchasing an unlocked cell phone.

My sister-in-law had just purchased the new Samsung 1637 Jack unlocked and of course now she is locked into another three-year contract with her current carrier.  I asked her why she did this, as she has never really cared much for her current plan.  She bought a phone and extended her plan because she figured that it was her only option to getting a new cell phone.

Samsung I637 JACK 3G NAM Black AT&T Unlocked GSM Cellular Phone

I explained to her that by purchasing an unlocked cell phone, it would give her the freedom and flexibility in choosing a carrier.  I explained that she may have even been able to save some extra money as the cost of the phone would not be buried in the plan.  I also explained that since she does travel outside the country several times a year, that an unlocked cell phone would give her the freedom to purchase local Sim cards, so she would not occur any additional charges from her carrier.

When I started to explain that there are many phones we do not even have access to here in the United States, and some of the amazing features of the phones, I began to get the attention of some of my younger nieces and nephews.  I explained to them that they would be able to get some of the newest technology that is only available in the European markets by purchasing an unlocked cell phone like the Sony Ericsson Aspen unlocked.

I think they will all start to consider purchasing an unlocked cell phone the next time their current contract from their carrier is about to end.  When I explained to them some of the amazing phones and all the features that they have, which we are not yet able to get here, they all pulled out their existing phones and began to enter the website information for Pure Mobile to purchase their unlocked cell phone.

The Aspen, also know to some as Sony Ericsson Faith is powered by Windows 6.5.3. It has successfully integrated a touch screen and a QWERTY keyboard that function much better than previous attempts. This phone is literally an office on the go. Preloaded with Microsoft Office Mobil, Outlook, and a PDF reader the quick touch display easily enters memos, and emails with speed and accuracy. The pan and flick coupled with a drop and drag icon application is the first of its kind to utilize a finger friendly multitouch platform.

An Internet Explorer page load with IE memory management offers many office functions as well as social networking. The phone is preloaded with Windows Live Messenger, Facebook, twitter, CNN, YouTube, and Skype, now that is a powerful punch. The 3.2 megapixel camera takes sharp photos you can email or send to your computer. A 3.5mm audio jack with WiFi and microSD expansion will be sure to please your listening needs. The Aspen’s full sized screen will provide you with GPS through Google Maps to your destination.

At a time when any attempts to go green is appreciated by many, this phone also offers a style and beauty all its own. Black, silver, and white are the colors the Aspen phone is available in. Make sure to purchase a clear screen cover to protect your investment of fingerprints and scratches. • Four New Phones Coming Soon
Posted on September 3, 2009 by Pure Mobile

This week 4 new phones have been announced by Nokia and Sony Ericsson.  Nokia has announced the Nokia X3, Nokia X6 and the Nokia N97 Mini.  Sony Ericsson on the other hand has announced the Sony Ericsson Xperia X2.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 is going to be released similar to the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1.  The Xperia X2 is going to come in a X2 and X2a version.  Basically one (X2a) will have 3G for North America and the other (X2) will have European 3G.  The Xperia X2 is going to have Windows Mobile Professional 6.5, Wifi, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, and even an 8MP camera built in.  All in all the Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 does seem like a nice upgrade from the popular Xperia X1

Nokia's first phone is a follow up the the Nokia N97.  The new phone is the Nokia N97 Mini.  It is a strange release because the N97 Mini is pretty much the same as the N97.  If you are wondering the difference one website saide the Nokia N97 Mini is the N97 at 90% the size.  Basically it's not really that mini.  It still has the 8GB of internal memory, the 5MP camera and the FM transmitter.  If you found the N97 to be a little bulky then you should definitely give the Nokia N97 Mini smartphone a look

The second phone is the Nokia X3.  This is rumored to be a lower budget phone.  The rumor is that the Nokia X3 will cost around $150USD, but that has yet to be determined.  The X3 looks to be a really nice phone.  It's going to be a slider without 3G capabilities.  It will have a 3.2MP camera, Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP, and will support up to a 16GB MicroSD card.

The last phone that Nokia accounced was the Nokia X6.  This new phone will be a touch screen phone.  It will have 32GB of internal storage, a 5MP camera, European 3G and up to 8h 30mins talk time.  The Nokia X6 looks to be a really nice touch screen phone.

All these phones are expected to be out for Q4 2009.  If they will be pushed back we can't say but for now we are eagerly awaiting all the new phones.

Sony Ericsson made a huge debut this year with a new phone.  The phone is called the Idou. Although it is still a little early for a complete review we felt that a quick post about it was in order

The Sony Ericsson Idou is set to be a really stunning phone.  It is going to have a 12MP camera and a 3.5 inch screen, which will make the display nice and easy to see.

The other big thing about the Sony Ericsson Idou is that it will be a touch screen phone.  Like many phones currently on, or coming to, the market it is following the trend.  It does look like Sony Ericsson has done a good job with the touch screen though.

Lastly the Idou will be using the Symbian Foundations operating system, which is similar to what can be found on phones like the Nokia N95.  This is a stable operating system and should help the phone make some serious waves in the market

As usual as soon as the Sony Ericsson Idou is released Puremobile will have a complete review.  For now like everyone else we just have to wait and see

  • We've got a real treat for you this week.  We just got in a whole new batch of Sony Ericsson C905 Cybershot phones and let us tell you this is worth a look at.

It's a quad band do it all phone.  It comes with 3G. 2GB microSD card included, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth with A2DP, email, instant messaging, etc... It even has a TV out so you can watch photos on your tv at home.

The big selling point of this phone is the 8MP camera.  It has auto focus and face recognition.  It is more of a camera then a phone in this respect but with all the other features this is one phone that really does do it all.

Now as a phone or a camera it is priced rather high, but for everything you get and being Sony Ericsson it is a great phone.  It can even be used as a replacement to your laptop, especially if you are a business user who travels a lot.

  • It's finally here.  Sony Ericsson has finally released the Xperia X1.  Now it's time to see if the phone can live up to the hype.

The Xperia X1 is definitely a full featured phone.  It's a quad band phone that works on the 3G network.   It also includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP and miniUSB connection.  On top of all this it has GPS, FM Radio and a whole host of music functions.  It's definitely not lacking anything you could want.

As for how it works we must say the system is well designed.  It is fast and responsive.  Windows Mobile works well on the phone and doesn't have any major flaws.  The full QWERTY keyboard that slides out is a nice feature and a good choice rather then trying to copy an iPhone with a full touch screen.

The one real downside is the price point.  The expected price is going to be around $1000 which is high compared to some of phones that are in the same category of full featured phones.  Althrough it's high priced, depending on the user it may be well worth it.  It can definitely be used as a replacement to the laptop especially if you travel a lot and don't want to bulky laptop with you everywhere you go.

Overall the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 is definitely worth a look at.  The long wait has been worth it and if you've been salavating over it this long the stop waiting and get to www.puremobile.com and buy it already.
