This is something for everyone including the mothers and grandmas to rejoice because with the click of a key and at the comfort of your house you can buy almost any multimedia product from QVC. What better Christmas gift would the young boys and girls ask for. All the new range of electronic multimedia gears is listed in the write with the daily offers and that includes the day’s special offers and even the offers that are one time value.

The application also features all the current items in the stock and has a checklist that you can use and refer later. This does not stop here. According to a new press release at nokia.com, Nokia says user experience improvements are coming in 2010. At the company’s annual Capital Markets Day event, senior executives noted Nokia Cell Phone core competitive advantages in the mobile devices market when outlining plans of success for the company. The goal of the annual event is to share progress and goals with the Nokia’s investors in order to maintain financial strength for the company.

Nokia’s CEO, Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, made statements at the event about Nokia’s plans to bring Symbian to new levels in 2010 by improving user interface experiences. Kallasvuo also said that the Symbain operating system has the flexibility and capability to become the world’s largest platform for mobile service and the company is going to push for global growth in the industry. A demonstration of Symbian user interface improvements was also provided at the event.

Symbian is currently a popular Smartphone platform, but is facing serious competition from the Apple iPhone. Nokia is hoping to position smartphones down to new price points globally, but the company has recognized that in order to keep up Symbian has to become more appealing to its users. Nokia is pulling its focus towards speed and visual appeal in order to stay in the game. Plans are set for larger screens on their mobile phones with multi-touch and single tap controls for the users. The company is also hoping to make all this happen three times faster than the program currently does things.

Overall, if Nokia says user experience improvements are coming, they have their work cut out for them. Several other companies are steadily working alongside them for a piece of the market share. Hopefully, all this competition will deliver some fantastic results to consumers.

ThinkFlood has just released its iPhone universal remote –the RedEye.  Loaded with features and costs $188, it is a good deal. Average universal remotes cost about $150 so RedEye’s tag is not so bad. What makes RedEye different is that it utilizes the touchscreen of iPhones; it also uses iPhone hardware to power itself.

The device is a must-have especially for iPhone owners. RedEye was used for beta testing some ages ago but now it is available in their website. This new universal remote has a great design. The quality of the hardware is as good as its design and it is durable. However, of course if you keep on doing a wrestling match with anyone in your household because of the remote –it probably will not survive the catastrophe.

What does it do?

Well it connects you to Wi-Fi if you want to surf on your iPhone, and it does not have any problems with controlling the TV, the DVR, or Blu-Ray, no significant latency whatsoever –which is good. RedEye converts your precious unlocked iPhone into a remote. For those fond of their iPods, RedEye can make this into a remote as well.  This only works with IR equipped components of course, everyone would be surprised if you can control your dog through the said remote. It is not like one of those movies but hey, it has potential, to control anything that can respond to IR signals.

Setting it up however is a little difficult but that is of course expected since it is a universal remote. Well as they say, no pain, no gain.

Your home automation system can be controlled by your iPhone through RedEye. Its setup can maintain multiple controllers, users, and rooms all at the same time. Apart from that, it also has the capacity to control an unlimited number of gadgets along with unlimited commands. Now that is neat!

The new smart phone from AT&T, the HTC Tilt 2 has an advantage over many cellular phones in that it comes with Windows Mobile 6.5 installed on it.

The obvious advantage to this is that a user will have instant access to programs such as Microsoft's backup service for My Phone and Mobile Windows Marketplace as well as an improved browser in Internet Explorer Mobile. With Windows Mobile 6.5, the users will get improvements like Flash Lite support and they will also have better tools to use for navigating pages. The Opera Mobile browser is also included on the unlocked HTC Tilt2.

The address book on the HTC Tilt 2 is limited only by what memory is available for use. Every entry can store several numbers, work as well as home addresses, Instant Messaging screen names, e-mail, birthdays and more. For purposes related to the caller ID a user can pair the contact with their photo, or with a caller group, or even with a customized ring tone. Another great option is that the user can see contacts' status updates immediately, read any messages or e-mails that they have exchanged with that contact and access the call history from the contact page. Searching is also made easier by the Search Phone widget that searched a phone and all of its apps as well, including e-mail, tasks, contacts, calendar, and Microsoft Word documents in its effort to find the results.

There are other AT&T services, which are supported by the HTC Tilt2, and some of these include the AT&T Navigator system, which can be used with the built-in GPS to obtain voice-guided navigation, and it supports AT&T Music, as well as AT&T Video, so the entertainment package is impressive. There are a number of apps that can be accessed from the AT&T Tab by using the HTC Tilt 2 TouchFlo interface, also.

For business phone usage, the HTC Tilt 2 smart phone has some great options and apps, and the Windows Mobile 6.5 system makes this a very handy phone to own.

Samsung’s Bada is said to be unveiled in London, England on December the 8th, 2009. For Samsung fans this is very good news but for critics of Samsung’s mobile OS, the unveiling of the software has mixed reactions. Samsung is not good with software; one good example of this is Samsung Behold II –a real mess in every sense of the word.

However, there is nothing that money and manpower cannot fix. Samsung has plenty of that so maybe, Bada will turn out to be a bad-ass software and it might even blow us all away. What all of us have to do now is to play the waiting game. A week of waiting is not that hard to do but let us all hope that Bada is worth the wait.
According to Samsung officials, the press conference for Bada’s launch will be in London and Samsung’s EVP and current Head of Samsung’s Media Solution Center; Dr. HS Lee will be attending the conference. Tagging along with Lee is Samsung’s Head for Mobile at Twitter, Kevin Thau. Thau’s expected appearance in Samsung’s launch for Bada somehow signals that this new mobile OS will be a bit more social than other mobile operating systems –but hey, what new software doesn’t?

What does Bada have to offer? Well, that is something that all Samsung fans and critics alike will have to wait it out. The word Bada is Korean for ocean. This name was chosen for the OS because of its limitless potential applications. Samsung’s Bada represents opportunities and challenges available to developers. Apart from that, a wide range of entertainment potential is stored for future consumers –this of course is controversial on its own because many consumers doubt that Samsung can really deliver especially in terms of software. Well, we shall see on the 8th!

The new Samsung 'Go' Netbook will be available through AT&T.  This compact netbook's operating system will be the Microsoft 7 Starter Edition, and it will be able to instantly connect to the AT&T 3G network. It has 1 GB of system memory, a 160 GB hard drive, three USB 2.0 ports, and an external VGA port.

The Good

The 'Go' is very light at only two and a half pounds, and has a LED-backlit glass display that provides great viewing quality, which helps to reduce eye strain. The keyboard is comfortable to type on, with more spacing between the keys than one would expect from a small Netbook. It is also a very attractive Netbook, with rounded corners, midnight blue color, and a pebble-style keyboard. The battery can hold its charge during normal usage for up to four hours. It is powerful and fast enough for full internet functionality and it has a more reasonable price tag than some of its competitors in the market. The retail price of the Samsung 'Go' Netbook is projected to be $199.99 after rebates, and the data plans offered by AT&T for the 'Go' are also projected to be a good value.

The Bad

There is nothing particularly new or cutting edge about this new 'Go' Netbook. In fact, it is quite similar to the Samsung 'Go' N310, which was released earlier. Although the battery holds its charge for four hours of normal usage, the Nokia Booklet 3G battery can hold its charge for twice that amount of time.

The Bottom Line

For those who are looking for a good reasonably priced Netbook which has access to AT&T's fast 3G network and is coupled with a reasonably priced data plan, the Samsung 3G Netbook is a good choice. Although it does not add many new features from the previous model, it is a good machine, which would be an excellent choice for most people.

The wait is finally over. The Nokia N900 is now available stateside. First introduced from Nokia World in September, 2009, the unit has released for the United States November, 2009. This follows months of delays and some speculated that the release would be delayed further. This internet table phone has some of the most powerful features available.

Using the Maemo operating system that gives the phone better quality and touch screen ability, the Nokia N900 unlocked is indeed a portable computer. The phone has 32 GB internal memory and a full QWERTY keyboard. With a 3.5-inch screen, it makes viewing easier with this smart phone.

The phone is a touch screen, which can be custom designed by the consumer and has 800 x 48 pixels for more accurate viewing. It has a 5-mega pixel camera, video and music players as well as an FM receiver. The unlocked Nokia cell phone (N900) supports Blue tooth technology and wi-fi capabilities.

T-Mobile has added three more towns to the relentless build of its 17000MHz 3G voice and data services network and shows no slowing down as we roll out of 2009 and into 2010. These services are now available in a number of markets across the United States under the influence of T-Mobiles electronic web.

By offering what they call “Social Beat,” Verizon and iSkoot have introduced a new, free social networking application. Armed with “Social Beat,” fans of the social networking sites can carry out all of their mobile networking with one single application.

Verizon and iSkoot have made important adaptations to iSkoot’s Kalaida platform. Those adaptations promise to facilitate access to Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Email, and close to 50 other RSS feeds. Thanks to the introduction of Social Beat, the information from those RSS feeds will now reach the handsets of a larger number of those that follow the social networking sites.

Granted, there will still be some users of the Verizon phone line up that will not be able to enjoy the benefits of Social Beat. Verizon cannot guarantee that each member of its line of communication products has been equipped to handle the Social Beat offerings. However, Verizon has promised that at least 20 of its various handsets will do an excellent job of receiving the messages sent by way of the Social Beat software.
