Although we are not completely certain about it, it has been rumored that the Unlocked Motorola Milestone ( Droid 2 ) will be powered by a 1GHz processor. Well, this is not all, as apart from this Verizon Motorola Droid 2 mobile, even the Motorola Droid X will be fitted with a 1GHz processor. So if you have the Motorola Droid X and were envious of your friends running applications super smooth on their HTC 4G, you now get to show off the same.
Earlier pictures released of this mobile stated that it would have a Texas Instruments (TI) OMAP processor, however, we have come to know that it will not be an OMAP processor but a Snapdragon processor. And not just any processor, a 1GHz processor, the very same one that powers the EVO. Although it is a little strange that this published tweet on Twitter was immediately deleted, we still managed to get all the required specifications. While the tweet suggests there will be a powerful processor for the Motorola Droid X and Droid 2, since the post was deleted, there are chances that Motorola might back down and go ahead with the initial TI OMAP processor.
Although nothing has yet been officially confirmed, Droid-Life sources state that the tweet was legitimate and both mobile devices will now support the 1GHz processor by Snapdragon. But, again, this has not been officially confirmed. According to the tweet the Droid X designate #10 has escaped, which is a bit difficult to understand, especially if you do not know how to follow tweets.
So far, all we know about the Motorola Droid X is that it will have an astounding 8 MP camera, HDMI out and an amazing large display screen of 4.3 inches. If it also manages to get the Snapdragon processor, you can be certain this would be the mobile users would want to get their hands on.
