Verizon Motorola Droid X arrives and steals the show

It was a mixture of anticipation and curiousness that gripped us during the meeting which was organized this morning by the new age technology powerhouses Verizon, Motorola and Adobe. The meeting was organized to unveil the new Motorola Milestone Unlocked Droid ( X ), the latest Smartphone to hit the market. The latest Android Smartphone did not disappoint.

It has almost a similar build as that of a HTC EVO 4G, but is more sleek and thin. It has an incredibly large screen which probably can be a prominent distinguishing factor. The stunning 8 megapixel camera unit placed at the top of the Droid X is the only part which is not very thin. The phone is exceptionally long.

Droid X is definitely a smart product and it can give you great pleasure to be able to grip it in your hands. The rubbery finish is particularly delightful apart from the look. Although, it doesn’t have the same impact that EVO 4G or iPhone 4 or Unlocked Samsung galaxy S packs, it is still a brilliant phone to have.

Droid X has a resolution of 854x480 and has the color and text or recent designs. The buttons are the only part which might be a cause of most skepticism as felt by everyone. The buttons seems a little too wobbly and may not be able to survive the test of time. Proper handling of the buttons would be advisable.

1 GHz Texas Instruments OMAP processor is the most captivating feature along with other innovative and smart features and probably that is what sets Droid X apart from the rest. These features are easy to access and they bring a whole new dimension to the phone.

The camera may very well be used as shooting equipment as it holds 720p HD videos recording capability which can even be viewed via an HDMI-out cable. Sound quality of the phone is phenomenal and quality of voice is pretty much a huge positive for this new phone. It does rock Android 2.1 with a touch of MotoBlur but nevertheless is an excellent smartphone and a must have.
