But why was Eric Schmidt spotted using what looks to be a BlackBerry?

    Author: John Castell Jr.
    Editor: Aldo Panessidi

You can clearly see this in the following images from Engadget. One would think that Eric Schmidt would have learned his lesson after having made the same snafu - when he was caught earlier this summer using a non Android phone.

  • Industry experts are already weighing in on the release of the new Kindle Fire Tablet by Amazon. JP Morgan executives fell that the release falls short of what is needed to make a dent in an industry that is dominated by Apple. Executive director Mark Moskowitz suggests that in order to penetrate the tablet market such as unlocked Motorola Xoom, HTC Flyer, etc , the tablet must be fully loaded and compete with the current tablets available on the market today. He views this release of the Kindle Fire as a stepping stone to getting into the industry full fledged.

Mixed Review of the Amazon Kindle Fire

The Amazon Kindle Fire release does not have the specifications of some of the more powerful tablets available. It does however has a price point that is believed will open up the market to a whole new subset of consumers. At $199, more consumers are likely to jump on board as the cost is much lower than the typical $500 price point on the market today. If the JP Morgan executives are right in calling this release a stepping stone, it may be a good strategy to go with as sales of the Kindle Fire may be better than other entries in the past.

Mixed Review of the Amazon Kindle FireBy no means is Amazon resting their success on Kindle Fire. There are already reports of Amazon working on a more powerful Quad-Core tablet codenamed “Hollywood”. This release will likely mark the official entry of Amazon into the tablet space. Expected to release in the first quarter of 2012, the tablet will include the proprietary offerings that Amazon has within their businesses including eBooks, Movies, Music, and the Cloud services. They do have some very interesting services they can include with their tablets which gives them an edge over all others that have entered the space. The next 12 months or so will give us a clue as to their long term plans in an ever crowded space.

  • Verizon and Motorola Offer Up Smart Phone
Posted on September 13, 2011 by Pure Mobile

Although many have believed that we were in the post-PC for quite some time, it appears that some of the same tips are coming back around. Now, some tipsters who have been dealing with the companies have stated that both are rising as well as Motorola are now suggesting to users that if they are having problems with their Smart device, that they restarted at lease once per day. This will reportedly allow users to run a much more smooth operation in regard to their Smart device. According to these individuals, they have stated that because your phone such as Motorola Spice, unlocked Motorola Milestone XT720, etc.. has the capability of my computer, it requires the same ones that they restart in order to be sure that no further issues crop up.

However, there’re multiple different reasons why someone might want to restart their phone in the same way that they would restart the computer. Keep in mind that a smart phone is not a computer, it is a mobile device. These devices should be able to run for several days at a time without being hindered. You would think that they would have something in mind to ensure that this does not happen, and that restarting your phone does not become something that they start to recommend to people in the same way that they did in the past.

Verizon and Motorola Offer Up Smart Phone

Although it was commonplace to recommend this type of thing for PC issues, recommending this type of thing for mobile devices is a whole new ballgame. You would think that a lot of people would be willing to come up with better ways to fix these types of issues. Hopefully this will not become the standard way of helping users to fix their performance issues with their mobile devices moving forward. It would be a shame zone and PC recommendations were to come back around for use with mobile devices. You think that by now they’re entirely new recommendations for these types of issues.

  • Although Vitello market is still currently potentially taking off, there are a number of new devices that are coming up that could change the way that people look at the tablet market moving forward. There have been a number of interesting devices that have been released over the course of the last few days including the Samsung Note,  the new  7.7 inch Galaxy Tab, as well as a new flat unlocked iPhone 4. It is clear that the mobile market is looking to get smaller and users are really taking to the idea of smaller mobile devices. So what is next, is it the “minitab” portion of the market just now opening up, or is this just a small fad that will only last a short amount of time."iphone-4"

Android phones have been particularly flat and larger than all of the other styles of devices. However, others have made it clear that they are looking to go smaller, even Apple reducing the size and offering a flat version of the iPhone which they have never done before."samsung-galaxy-tab"

Also, with the launch of the smaller version of the Samsung tablets, it is clear that all of the large companies are looking to make a number of changes to the way that they are approaching the mobile market which seems to be firmly dominated by the Apple iPad, it does not look to be heading in a different direction anytime soon.

The tablet market has been one that is bit of a volatile at times. Devices such as unlocked Motorola Xoom Tablet that look like they’re going to perform well are actually unable to a times, and devices that look as though they are not going to do well at all tend to do better than some think they will. It will be interesting to see if the market starts to head in this direction or if it falls off.

  • Sony To Offer New Android Tablet S and P
Posted on September 2, 2011 by Pure Mobile

Sony is going to be offering a number of brand-new tablets that showed shakeup atop the industry based on what we have seen so far. They’re going to be launching the Sony Tablet S and Tablet P, the two tablets that were once known as the S1 and the S2. They have been looking to break into the tablet market such as unlocked Motorola Xooom, HTC Flyer, etc..  for quite some time, and have been able to put together a couple of very interesting tablets here. Although the tablets will be equipped with a NVIDIA dual core Tegra 2 processor, which has become an industry standard over the course of the last few years. It will have front and rear facing cameras on both models of the device along with an SD card slot.

Sony To Offer New Android Tablet S and P

The Tablet S will feature a 9.4 inch screen that is ergonomic and will be able to reach to the demands of most users. Sony has also run a web browser and the mix with their quick view, and the P version of the tablet will fall in the center with two separate touchscreens on either side of the tablet.

It is good to see that there are going to be entering the tablet market in an effort to compete with companies such as Apple do a very good job of marketing their own tablets. Although these tablets look very interesting and look as though they will be able to meet the demands of the users who have been eagerly awaiting the release of these tablets. It will be interesting to see if they are able to garner the demand for their tablets in the same way that other companies have. So far the tablet market seems to be dominated by Apple, but there is a lot of space for a company with some quality time at work that way. Perhaps a Sony tablet running on the Google operating system software will be able to be one of the first to truly compete with the iPad in a big way.

  • It is easy to see why Microsoft would like to put an end to the sale of Motorola Android devices. They racially opened a case in front of the United States international Trade Commission on Monday, asking that they block Motorola mobility from selling a number of different devices including the Droid 2, unlocked Motorola Droid X and CliqXT. The company said that they were looking to protect the property that they have, and as a result we’re going to have to ask them not to sell these phones. When the company was purchased by Google earlier in the month, a lot of heads were turned in the process. It is definitely something that has changed the shape of the mobile industry in less than a few weeks and is going to continue to affect the quite some time to come.

Microsoft Looks to End Motorola Android Devices

    Motorola Droid X

A spokesman for the company said that the Motorola mobility is looking to vigorously defend itself against a strategy that Microsoft has employed that they claim is more in the interests of patent blocking than anything else. Many also claimed that Google purchased the company in order to garner a number of patents, and were not all that interested in the company on its own.

It will be interesting to see how this turns out, as this move could drastically affect both companies moving into the future. If they win the case and allow them to not have to sell their Android devices such as Motorola XT860 unlocked, Xoom Tablet, etc., it could be a huge step in the wrong direction for Google Earth this would also be a huge step in the right direction for Microsoft. To say the least, the companies coming into this fight could tie them up for quite some time. Do not expect a quick decision on the subject.

  • Google will be acquiring Motorola in a surprising move that will shake up the mobile industry and will definitely change the way that the industry had from here on out. The acquisition will take place for a total of $12.5 billion overall, and will allow for the company to be able to put together an excellent portfolio to protect themselves and to take other companies to court.

Google Acquires Motorola Mobility for $12.5 Billion

Google will be competing with Apple and the unlocked iPhone 4, and this acquisition will allow them to secure a large amount of difference smart devices that will allow for them to be able to put together one of the largest mobile tech companies in the world. This acquisition is one of the largest that the industry has seen in recent years, and you can bet that there are many different companies upset about this acquisition. With Google already under investigation for having a monopoly over several parts of the tech industry, this acquisition is definitely not going to help them with their case if they do not have a monopoly.

Google is a company that is constantly repositioning themselves to shake up the industry, and this acquisition is not going to be any different for them. Their commitment to the Android platform is apparent with this purchase, as it will allow them to have more control over the devices that utilize Android such as unlocked Motorola Atrix and will also allow them to change their future for the better.

Google Acquires Motorola Mobility for $12.5 Billion

It is hard to think of acquisition in recent memory that shows as much of a shakeup as this one did. It has been an interesting week within the industry, but you can bet that this one will definitely change the industry quite a bit over the course of the next few months. Being able to get a hold of all of those different patterns will help Google in court, and will also allow them to produce new and exciting devices.

  • The popular unlocked Motorola Droid (Bionic) has finally lost its FCC confidentiality. A number of pictures and information, along with a user manual for the device have been made available recently to the public, following another FCC leak. the league of the manual is something that the FCC has tried to avoid in recent times, but has been unable to do with a number of different devices. The specs for the device that make it very telling about what consumers can come to expect and will feature the 4G LTE, along with the 4.3 inch touchscreen device in a rear facing camera is able to take 1080 P quality photos.

Droid Bionic Receives Update with Pictures

The device is one that has had very little information about elite, and continues to garner a lot of press from various popular tech publications. It will be interesting to see if the device is able to garner a large following in the same way that other Droids have. There are a bunch of familiar devices out there that are in many ways similar to this one, with a few noticeable differences. Some of the noticeable differences are the specs that are involved with this device, as well as the ability to share web top docs and accessories. It is clear that the Droid Bionic is a device that is going in a little bit different direction than is normal for the company.

Droid Bionic Receives Update with PicturesAlthough it is not going to be one of the larger releases from the company this year, it is going to be a large device that is going to help the company to gain a larger following. It is no surprise that the images leaked, as many devices have had images of them leaked from various sources with inside the FCC. It will be interesting to see if they take more care with the leaking of these materials from now on, after so many devices have had information about them leaked onto the Internet.

  • T-Mobile Drops 50,000 Subscribers
Posted on August 6, 2011 by Pure Mobile

Following the news that AT&T purchase T-Mobile, it appears that the response from users is not as good as many thought that it would be. A recent report claims that T-Mobile has lost a total of 50,000 subscribers throughout the second quarter and also saw a decline in their revenue. The second-quarter results were reported on Thursday it was noted that the company lost a total of 50,000 subscribers over the second quarter alone. That is a huge draw, but it’s still not nearly as large as the total of 93,000 subscribers that the company lost one year previous to that. They have been hemorrhaging subscribers left and right and have not done a good job of keeping the subscribers that they do have.

It is clear that users were not happy with the fact that T-Mobile was purchased by AT&T. We have seen the total number of customers that they have subscribed fall substantially every quarter since the merger was first announced. AT&T has seen the total cost of the company perhaps not pan out in the way that they thought that it would. Things have changed drastically since they first purchased the company.

    T-Mobile Drops 50,000 Subscribers

It will be interesting to see if they are able to put together a plan to get the subscribers back before the merger officially takes place. The purchase of T-Mobile from AT&T has not actually gone through yet, but it is clear that they are not looking for the subscriber base, and instead are looking to extend their network and put together a plan that makes sense. In all, the number of subscribers that they have lost over the course of the last few quarters has been a huge blow to the company’s subscriber base and it is clear that they are going to have to do something in order to regain the customers that they have lost. As contracts end, customers are jumping ship for greener pastures than AT&T, a company that has not had the best reputation as of late.
