  • LG Fantasy - Fact or Fiction?
Posted on January 3, 2012 by Pure Mobile

    January 3, 2012

LG Fantasy - Fact or Fiction? There are those moments where no news is good news. This is generally not the case in the technology world; in particular within mobile technology market space... which is constantly evolving, improving, and innovating to keep pace with a tech savvy and tech hungry consumer base.  A market base growing at an exponential rate as unlocked cell phones becomes more and more available to consumers in India, Africa and China. Thankfully the advent of tablets and a plethora of mobile accessories such as cases, skins,  screen protectors, desktop chargers as well as  Bluetooth Headsets keep our little hands busy while awaiting the latest smartphone relases.

With that in mind, the jury is still out on the lack of an LG Windows Phone release in the United States in 2011.... the last LG Windows Phone seen state side was the Quantum back in 2010. This handset wasn’t widely popular, perhaps because it was not available as an unlocked smartphone, instead it was tied to a carrier exclusive contract with AT&T.  Discover a massive selection of  SD Micro Memory cards.  Extend your mobile device memory to hold a huge inventory of images, songs and documents.

Trickles of a new release for the Windows OS are tickling the imaginations of the mobile world with a device going by the moniker LG Fantasy. As with any gossip mill, speculated details are flying with scant solid evidence or manufacturer announcements to give credence and weight to the words.   Discover  XMI Speakers; uncompromised sound quality and a revolutionary design accentuating  today's interactive lifestyle.   In addition,  earpieces and headsets combine sophisticated style and precision engineering that deliver brilliant sound for your total listening pleasure.

LG Fantasy - Fact or Fiction? The most likely sounding is that is has a four inch IPS display and this holds more veracity thanks to the leaked image of the smartphone. This image is indeed blurry (as can be seen in the picture above), but it is pretty evident that the handset has either a 5 megapixel or 8 megapixel camera. This seemingly harmless detail gives more heft to the talk that the Fantasy will join the ranks of Windows phones because this megapixel screen is what current Windows Phone users have with the 7.5 OS (aka Mango).

Leaving your valuable mobile devices unprotected is risky!  The latest stylish top  brand bags, sleeves and cases innovative protection solutions allow you to protect your devices from scratches and blemishes with our stylish top.  Tough on the outside, sweet on the inside these brand name protection accessories combine complete device coverage with sleek artistic expression.

What is markedly less clear is whether this particular device will see the light of American soil for its debut, but it is likely that a launch will occur sometime in 2012. LG is smart to keep up guessing and ramping up the free PR to fill the void between its Windows Phone releases, but will be sure to keep the juiciest details for the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in February.  Checkout the latest in mobile device accessories.

  • WebOS Integrates Skype
Posted on June 22, 2011 by Pure Mobile

WebOS Integrates SkypeWith Microsoft’s recent purchase of Skype many users were wondering where the digital the VOIP service would be heading next.  Recently, a number of screenshots leaked that show that Skype will be integrated into the Web OS operating system that has become so popular in recent years.  A number of other companies have partly moved to integrate Skype into their own operating systems.  The video chat service has become popular with a wide range of different age groups, most likely because of the ease-of-use that the program has demonstrated.  The ability to video chat, make calls, and instant message with people in the world around has made the program very popular.  Microsoft’s recent acquisition of the company for 8 billion has driven more users to check it out.  The integration of Skype into the Web OS platform was one that many did not see coming, but as a welcome addition to the already well-known operating system.

    WebOS Integrates Skype

The newest integration, which is very similar to the Google voice integration on Android phone such as Motorola Atrix unlocked, LG eve,, will allow users to route all of their international calls through the sky program.  This should save many people a good amount of money through the service, especially those that make a lot of international calls.  The voice and video chat for the program will be available over both WiFi as well as three G.  Users will be able to create sessions with users from their contacts as well as users from the messaging menu.  As well as the integration directly into the operating system, there will be a standalone app that users can access the sky platform from.  This will surely be something that will interest in Skype users that also have mobile devices to utilize the Web OS platform.  It is good to see that the company is quickly moving to integrate various popular services, and to their dying operating system.  This is one move that users will likely appreciate.  At the very least they will be able to save a great deal of money on international calls.

New Huawei MediaPad TabletThe company Huawei has now announced their brand-new MediaTab tablet.  The new tablet will run on the Android 3.2 operating system, which is also known as honeycomb.  It will be a 7 inch tablet provided by Huawei, a company that has been looking to get into the tablet industry for quite some time.  The MediaTab will have a 1.2 GHz dual core processor, along with a nice five megapixel camera at the back of the device, accompanied by a 1.3 megapixel camera at the front of the device that will support video chats, and other great features that should make it one of the premier tablets released in recent memory.

    New Huawei MediaPad Tablet

Along with the previously mentioned features you can also look forward to a top-of-the-line WiFi network technology, and HDM I out output that will allow for you to play the tablet screen on other displays including your television set, a micro-SD card slot that will allow you to add up to 32 GB of additional storage, expanding the functionality of the device as a whole.  The Huawei media pad is one that has been highly anticipated by users for quite some time, and the specs that we have seen so far seem to deliver on the demands and expectations of their customers.  The device will supposedly have an excellent battery life that will be much longer than most of the tablets that are currently out there on the market.  At the very least, they are expected to deliver more than six hours of battery life and all.  The MediaTab is expected to launch for the first time for consumer purchases this fall.

    New Huawei MediaPad Tablet

So far the company has not indicated what the price for the tablet will be.  It is expected, that the device will be relatively low-priced in an effort to make it affordable to the average user.  Huawei is a company that has been teeming with American companies in recent times to expand their reach to North America, even though they are already quite a popular company throughout Asia for their excellent contributions to both the mobile phone market as well as the smart device market as a whole.  This will be their first tablet they have released and a lot is expected out of the Huawei MediaTab.

  • Google Gets Rid of Malware Posed as angry Birds AdditionsGoogle has been hard at work to get rid of the apps that have made it into their marketplace that contain malware for the Android operating system such as unlocked Samsung Galaxy II, Xperia Play from Sony Ericsson. This is the third time a batch of Android malware has been discovered and has essentially been labeled “Plankton.” Apparently the app had the ability to access a server for instructions on what the app should do next.

This is a pretty stealthy was for these developers to get their malware into the Android marketplace. With all of the questions that have arisen in recent weeks as a result of all of the malware that has been found in the Android marketplace it is apparent that Google is doing everything in their power to root out the issues.

Unlike previous apps, Plankton did not use holes in the security of the phone to attack the user, but instead called to instructions that were stored on another server to do its dirty work. They also chose to promote the app as an add on to Angry Birds, which is easily one of the most popular games in the history of mobile. It will certainly be interesting to see how these apps are packaged in the future to get an idea of what to avoid. The hackers also packaged the apps as Cheat Apps for Angry Birds, which helped the apps to spread much more quickly. Previous apps utilized trojan horses that infiltrate the phone such as LG Eve GW 620 unlocked, HTC Desire, etc.. and send text messages to numbers, driving up the cost for the user. Google continues to fight the malware attacks but it is clear that people are looking to exploit vulnerabilities in the operating system. It will be interesting to see how Google responds to these threats moving forward and whether or not they will be able to put an end to the uploading of illegal materials.
