The unlocked iPhone 4 has been long rumored to be on its way to Verizon. Of course, this took a lot longer than most expected, but now that is official we have some time to go ahead and take a look back at the history of the deal and how it finally came together. After the country called for RIM to filter the adult content that was being shown to unlocked BlackBerry Phone users in Indonesia, it looks as though they are going to have to buckle and give into their demands. The company has reportedly agreed to filter pornographic content on BlackBerry’s in India as a result of the government’s request that was made. This is not the first time that the company has had to accommodate requests from the government, but is the first time that they have agreed to filter the content that is given to their users. Apparently they would rather filter the content then have the BlackBerry be banned in the country.

The unlocked Motorola Flipout has been a long-rumored phone that finally appears as if it will be coming to fruition in the United States. The first thing that you will notice about the phone is its odd shape. It is shaped like a square, and is quite small. It only has a 2.8 inch touchscreen display with a 320x240 resolution. Google released some interesting figures today regarding the percentage of their users, and what version of their Android operating system that they are currently running. Stunningly, the information states that 83% of their users are currently running Android 2.2 or better, suggesting that Unlocked Motorola Milestone Android users are very likely to keep up on their updates, much more so than other platforms have previously reported.
Along with the 83% of the users that are currently running 2.1 or better, most of their users are actually running the newest version of the software, version 2.2, which 43% of their users are running. Skyfire may have had a few bugs and problems with their US launch of their browser that is able to take flash video and convert it to a video format that is acceptable on unlocked iPhone 4 and on other platforms as well. One of the biggest complaints about the iPhone is that they do not support Adobe Flash, which is the largest platform for delivering animation the web.
