Anyone who followed the Consumer Electronics Show knows that Nokia is making some serious moves to win business and mindshare in the United States this year. The company has moved lightning fast since signing agreements with Microsoft last year with Nokia Lumia cell phones winning some great nods of approval.

Based on the announcement that Nokia will be launching its first Window mobile OS smartphone with T-Mobile in the United States, which will allow Nokia to extend market breadth and reach wider consumer base. Noted as an important part of their strategy, the next few months of product releases and announcements are bound to keep the good press rolling.

With these incredible deals, customers have more funds to accessorize their new handset with accessories such as; stylus & pens, micro SD memory cards, batteries, docking stations, Bluetooth headsets, data cables and glider gloves all specifically designed to make your devices functionally efficient and performance rich.

The CES extravaganza comes to an end today. Many new and upcoming companies vied to showcase breakthrough products and technology this year’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, NV. Like any successful mall, this convention has its premier companies at the show – like Microsoft. Discover the convenience of online shopping at renowned retailers such as Pure Mobile – your one stop shop for cell phone and mobile device accessories. PureMobile has an accessory solution for every lifestyle…. This is personal. This is you. This is Shopping Simplified.

In fact, it was in 1995 that Microsoft founder, Bill Gates first spoke at a CES workshop – at the Hilton. Addressing a small workshop of people, Gates told his freshman audience that the consumer electronics revolution would be social. In turn, the CES and Microsoft have had a symbiotic relationship and turned the event into a tech maelstrom quite unlike anything else. Leaving your valuable mobile devices unprotected is risky! Discover the latest innovative protection solutions… stylish top brand bags, sleeves and cases specifically designed to protect your devices from scratches and blemishes. Tough on the outside, sweet on the inside these brand name protection accessories combine complete device coverage with sleek artistic expression.

Alas, all good things must come to an end. Or at least to a pause. In Microsoft’s keynote speech which was delivered by the charismatic CEO, Steve Ballmer, wherein he announced that in the foreseeable future Microsoft would not be attending the CES event. This certainly captured the audience’s attention. Ballmer followed up with an interview with the one-and-only Ryan Seacrest where they began reviewing Microsoft’s 2012 line. As a well-known radio personality, Ryan Seacrest enjoys accessories that deliver high quality audio. Experience the mind blowing clarity of XMI Speakers. Uncompromised sound quality and a revolutionary design accentuating today’s interactive lifestyle. Our earpieces and headsets combine sophisticated style and precision engineering that deliver brilliant sound for your total listening pleasure.

The Windows Phone 7 and how it flips the focus to the consumer by making it people centric (i.e. the vision behind their smartphone’s mobile platform creation). Showing their strength in not only manufacturing their own device, but also integrating the OS with other phone manufacturers, the audience got a peek at Nokia cell phone line up which includes Lumia 710 and Lumia 800.

This has the whispers of “unlocked cell phone” to their smartphone strategy. The degree that Google Android has employed this has been a factor in its swift global growth. In pairing with other vendors and letting its mobile OS win over customers in conjunction with unlocked devices, they have a greater chance of catching up on some major market shares.

The presentation continued into ASUS tablets and then into the very exciting Xbox / Kinect technology. Interactive, they have touched on another love of consumers: streamlining devices and gaining meaningful, real world technology. The Kinect can be used as an accessory of sorts to the Lumia 900 (or perhaps the other way around?!). The demos were seriously cool and would challenge even the most dedicated Luddite to play and marvel.

The Unlocked Nokia N9 was a device that most thought was never going to be released, but it looks as though there might still be a chance for the device that most thought was scrapped at the time. The FCC filing for the device made its way online today. The device was found in the government database, in which it was claimed that there were six cell frequencies along with Bluetooth and a 2.4 GHz 802.11 b/g/n WiFi.

This shows that the device would be able to debut on a number of different carriers, so narrowing that down is going to be tough until more details are released. The device will also feature a QWERTY sliding keyboard that suggests based on the layout that the device will be available in the US or Canada.

Some have suggested based on the specs that the device might be a great device to run on the Windows Phone 7 platform, although no information regarding that can be released. The device is a promising one, but not a lot has been released about it, until this FCC file made its way online.

A number of different phones have become known to the public in this way, and you can bet that it will be not be the last time either. Although nothing is concrete at this point, the fact that the paperwork has been filed to the FCC shows that there is a fairly great chance that the device could see the light of day some time in the near future.

The unlocked Nokia N9 was a phone that a lot of people were excited about when the first details were released, but it quickly died down when it looked like the phone was never going to see the light of day. Now that things have changed, perhaps there will be a buzz for the device again.

PureMobile carries wide range of cell phone accessories and unlocked cell phone such as Nokia N8, Nokia E63 unlocked, etc..

Google always says that you should do no evil, but that hasn’t stopped Facebook from engaging in some relatively shady business tactics, according to some sources over the course of the last few days. Facebook reportedly launched a smear campaign against Google in an effort to influence members of the media to write about data that Google was collecting and using from users. Facebook has all but confirmed the rumors through swift denials of the reports that have been out there.

Reportedly, Facebook hired the PR firm Burson-Marsteller to release information to journalists about the fact that Google has been retaining personal information about users and using it ways that they have not made clear.

There is only one thing that this could possibly mean – Google has something here that Facebook feels is a threat to them. Just when it appeared that Facebook was going to be able to take over the whole of the Internet through integrating their services into websites around the web, you can bet that Google is not going to be going down without a fight. Facebook has 500 million users, but you can not make it to that level without playing dirty occasionally and sending the competition some jabs to the stomach.

Their plan unravelled when a blogger that they sent the emails to decided to publish the emails online. This is something that they definitely should have seen coming and definitely was a miscalculation on their part.

This is not the first time that both companies have faced off and although they both deny their never ending feud in public, their actions have made their attention more than clear in most cases. This is one of the most direct attacks that either company has taken on the other, so you can bet that they will be retaliating at some point and time for this direct attack against Google.

The musical team Bluebrain has developed an application that makes their new album location aware. The new album will dictate where you can listen to the music, the song that it will be playing, and when it will be playing them. The new album is titled “The National Mall” is was created to provide the perfect backdrop for wherever you are at any given time.

The album will use phones GPS to track where you are. They have hundreds of tagged zones that allow you to play certain songs when you are in the given zone. It will be the first location aware album that has ever been released, and will be available on iOS device such as iphone 4 unlocked and ipad.

At the very least, it is a very interesting take on how to make an album in an industry that has really taken a hit due to Internet privacy. Are you looking to hear a certain melody that corresponds with the area that you are in? Take a walk and go to a different monument to hear different songs.

Their hope is that the album will become the official soundtrack for tours of the area. Soem have suggested that because you can not listen to every track whenever you want, that the app and album will not sell all that well. Their new idea has been heavily covered by media sources and should be one of the quickest growing apps from BlueBrain, a group that has become renowned for their ability to compose great landscape dependent sound scapes.

At the very least, you might want to give it a look. If you like the music and are in the DC area, BlueBrain offers great sounds that truly will give you the perfect music for any given monument that you are at.

The new ad system, titled Quickbar, but aptly named “#Dickbar” by Twitter users was quickly shut down by Twitter after receiving a lot of negative press and attention. The new bar only inserted ads into the stream of iPad and unlocked iPhone 4 users. Twitter was looking to put the ads up weeks ago, but thanks to internal testing they had been unable to get things launched as quickly as they would have liked.

Some sources have stated that the “dickbar” was a mistake from the very beginning. The idea had been put together by a junior project manager and had not been approved by a leading executive at the company when it went live. Pinning the bar at the top of the app may not have been the best idea for the young junior manager, as the backlash resulted in a lot of bad press for the company.

This move shows that twitter has not fully decided how they are going to be monetizing their service. Many users are going to be happy with the ad bar being removed from their app on their Apple iphone 4 unlocked. Now one has to question whether or not Twitter knows what they are doing in terms of magnetization. They have always had trouble finding ways to insert ads without insulting their uses, and this is yet another example of a failed magnetization attempt for the company.

While thousands are probably upset because their device broke when it fell out of their lap onto the floor as they stood up, the story is true. A US Air Force Combat Controller named Ron Walker took his story to the media after taking a number of armed forces individuals with him to do a jump from a plane.

He said that he looked out the door to find landmarks on the ground below to help him get the plane into the right position for the jump, when the flap that held his phone broke open, and his iPhone 4 flew out of his pocket. The plane was moving more than 150 miles per hour at the time. He watched as the phone fell and made its way all the way to the ground, and he assumed that the phone was probably going to be lost forever, but was curious to see what condition it was in after such a long drop.

When he got to the ground, he told the story to some colleagues who installed the Find My Phone app. Within minutes they had located the phone. It was still active, much to their surprise. They followed it in vehicles and were able to find it in a wooded area not far from where they were.

The iPhone 4 unlocked did not have any significant damage, and to their surprise, was in perfect working order. It was something that they never expected. He quickly made his way online and sent his story to a number of mobile websites that quickly published it. As you might have guessed, these results are not typical and no one would recommend throwing your phone out of a moving plane to see if it survives. The fact that it still worked was crazy enough, but the lack of significant damage was the defining part of the story.

Motorola cell phone maker has announced that they have acquired the Swedish TV software company Dreampark. This could meant hat the company is looking to add to their TV technology with the acquisition and get deeper in that market. That acquisition is not expected to come to a final close until the second quarter of 2011, and so far details of the acquisition have not been made public yet. Motorola will look to use their Dreamgallery and other technology from the company and place them in the software suite offered by the company, Motorola Medios.

The press release suggested that the acquisition was completely for their Motorola Medios software suite, but the company has developed a number of other technologies that certainly could find some sort of use in other arenas of Motorola as well.

Once the transaction is completely closed, Dreampark will be integrated into their business and will cease to exist as its own entity. The purchase will allow the company to have a broader portfolio and will also allow them to increase their customer base moving forward.

It will contesting to see what kind of technologies come about as a result of the acquisition. There were no rumors about Motorola looking at DreamPark previous to this and it seemed to come out of nowhere from an industry standpoint. Could this be a start of flurry of acquisitions for their software suite, or will this single acquisition be enough for the company moving forward.

“This transaction enables us to continue to enhance our Medios software portfolio and capitalize upon the convergence of wireless technology,” said the Motorola VP John Burke, who addressed the media following the announcement of the acquisition. This seems to be in the best interest of both companies and shows that Motorola is dedicated to making sure that their software suite is packed chalk-full of useful software.

PureMobile carrier wide range of cell phone accessories and unlocked motorola cell phone such as unlocked Motorola Atrix, Motorola Spice, etc..

Have you ever gone to purchase fruit from the local supermarket in your area, and wondered exactly where the fruit came from? There is a new system, which has been labeled as the “fruit identification system” from your unlocked cell phone which was developed by NEC, a company that might have just what you are looking for. The technology will allow you to be able to identify the origin of the fruit that is plugged into the system. All you have to do to find out where the given fruit is from is to take a picture of it with the camera on the phone.

NEC is a company that has mostly dabbled in both fingerprints and face recognition technology. Now it appears that they are substantially expanding their horizons to include new objects, including fruit.

The photos of the fruit will be compared on the back end to the other fruit that has photos stored in the database at NEC. The company has said that that the error rate when they tested 1,800 Andes melons was about one in one million. The number is a bit hard to believe, but is very impressive none the less.

The company has stated that their technology will let their unlocked iphone 4 users to get a better idea of where their fruit comes from. This is technology that has not been too thoroughly tested, but in the statements that have been released from NEC, it appears that they have a reliable product with a wide enough database to effectively identify many different kinds of fruit, if the Andes melons are any type of indication. The company has said that they do not expect their complete system to be available for at least another year or two, but their early results are quite promising. If the app is successful, expect to see more like it here soon.

You might have noticed that the official Twitter app received an update for unlocked iphone 4. The new update will not add any huge features as was seen in previous versions of the app, but it does look as if the quick bar tht was added will be a bit helpful. The “quick bar” was added to give you the currently trending topics based on your location with just the click of the button. Some users reported that shortly after they updated their app that they were having trouble re-opening the app. These problems seemed to be a bit isolated and were not experienced across the entire user base.

Now the version 3.3.1 is live for the first time. Most of the main upgrades that were included in the update fixed some of the more common crashing issues that have been reported with the app. Also included in the app update were a number of security fixes. These were accompanied by some improved performance updates that should make the app much more usable and phones that do not have the heavy hardware that the top notch phones do.

The total upgrade is a little bit more than six megabytes in the app store. some of the older versions of the app were also phased out with the update, but those versions were quite early so if you have updated any time recently then you have nothing to worry about.

Users that had trouble with the update have already taken to the iphone 4 unlocked and other iOS devices and have found some fixes for the update issues. Many users choose to use a third party Twitter application instead of the main one so that might keep some from noticing the same issues.
