  • Will Windows Phone Apps be able to run on Windows 8? This is a question that many have asked, without a great answer being out there previous. A total of 70% of the smartphone market share within the mobile industry is held by Android and Apple, and Microsoft is only holding a small 6% of the market at this time. However, so far there has not been much interest in the operating system among developers, despite the fact that the operating system is fairly promising at this time. Perhaps people feel like both unlocked iPhone 4 and Android have the market cornered, and do not have faith in Microsoft being able to keep up."Windows-8"

The company also debuted their new Windows 8 operating system recently, and it has become abundantly clear that they are looking to go to the tile structure with the Windows 8 as well. It looks as though the company is looking to familiarize users with the style of interface, in the same way that Apple has done with their most recent version of OSx, in order to allow users to have a little bit of familiarity when they are smart devices as well. This is definitely been something that companies have been interested in as of late, and appears to be the direction that Microsoft is heading with the Windows 8 operating system as well."windows-phone-apps"

Some believe that the company is looking to streamline the process for developers so that they can develop applications both for the Windows 8 operating system, as well as for Windows phones such as unlocked HTC 7 Surround in one fell swoop. This would be a smart marketing strategy as it would give developers more of a reason to work with Microsoft and also allow them to greatly expand their application marketplace for both styles of devices. This could be a huge move that could help them to garner more market share that others may not see coming far in advance.

  • "Chicago Bidmyway"Bidmyway is a brand-new local daily deal service that is looking to compete with the other large companies in the space, but will be focusing on dealing with local merchants instead of the huge brands, and will not function as an aggregator is so many services have in recent times. The company is pretty unique because of the way that the deals are brought to the users, and also because it has an interface that makes it easy for users to utilize their service. The company uses a kind of iPod style of navigation to see how they are going to be able to get good local deals on items."Chicago Bidmyway Adds New Hyperlocal Deals app"

It is a pretty innovative idea overall, and they should be able to provide users with good deals on various different industries as a result of their very small niche market. They are only going to be accepting exclusive deals are not going to be taking anything from Group on and Living Social as so many other aggregation style sites do. The fact that they will be dealing with only exclusive deals works in their favor because they will be the only place that users will be able to go to be able to get the deals the company provides. The idea is that the company will be the best option for merchants would like to launch a mobile deal quickly. Rather than having to wait for your children go through life with the bigger sites, they will make it easy for you to launch a deal immediately and also live up to the deal on your own end.

This is a great idea that could extend the industry and into a larger portion of users. Another site with local exclusive deals is definitely something you should be interested in if they are familiar with the other services.

  • Google Launches YouTube Netflix Competitor in CanadaGoogle has announced that they are going to be launching their own Netflix competitor throughout all of Canada, titled YouTube Movies. the company has been working behind the scenes to ensure that they get the service up sooner rather than later throughout all of Canada. It will be a direct competitor with the Netflix platform that has become so popular throughout the country. The service first debuted in the United States, and has become quite popular since then. The deal and the United States will allow for customers to be able to rent movies for a total of $3.99 or $4.99 each. After they purchased the movie, they will have up to 30 days to watch the movie.

The move is an interesting one for Google, a company that has not delved too deep into this type of business before. Like many of their other services they may be more interested in throwing things at the dart board and seeing what sticks. This new YouTube Movies service has the potential to be one of the biggest rimming movie services on the Internet, but only if they’re going to be able to capitalize on those subscribers that have already left their other platforms because of increasing distrust with the recent hike in prices.

Google Launches YouTube Netflix Competitor in Canada

It will certainly be an interesting thing to watch and see if it is able to take off. Google knows that they are going to have to compete with services that are already out there in order to be able tofind a footing that they require to make this the service that they are hoping to make.they have been able to put together an excellent service, but the fact of the matter is that sometimes that is not enough for you to be able to get to the position that you were looking to get to. They are going to need to position themselves as the new, cooler option.

  • Apple Loses another Prototype in a Bar
Posted on September 5, 2011 by Pure Mobile

Apple has lost another prototype in a bar, which may bring the memories in the past from when they did the same thing. It is not known exactly why these prototypes have been lost in the bars, but it is apparent that Apple employees are meeting with one another at these locations that are accidentally leaving behind prototypes of some of their most popular devices. The most recent unreleased unlocked iPhone 5 prototype that was found in a bar was lost in the bar Cava22, a very popular bar in the San Francisco area. It was reported that Apple quickly tried to recover the device, and the phone was quickly track to a house in the San Francisco area.

Apple Loses another Prototype in a Bar

They were able to get to the house and find a young man in his 20s who had been in the bar earlier. The man, after being questioned and not knowing about the phone despite the fact that outlaws were not for the phone and also offered a no questions asked deal that would allow him to sell him the phone and never have to deal with any legal ramifications as a result. The phone was then later sold on craigslist for a total of $200 to acquire that turned out to be unknown. It is not currently clear house source knows of the sale, but it is clear that the phone did eventually end up on craigslist for a total of $200. If Apple continues to lose prototypes of their favorite devices in the bars I frequent, you can bet that they are going to have a hard time with being allowed to remove the protons from the company in the future. There have been multiple problems with these type of issues, you can bet that Apple is going to look for ways that they can nip this in the bud and continue to go about business as usual.

  • T-Mobile is going to be looking to offer new free signal boosters to their network in order to keep cell phone users such as unlocked Blackberry Bold 9780, HTC Wildfire, etc,, from playing. Over the course of the last few months since the company was sold to AT&T, and they are looking for ways to stop the bleeding in terms of their subscriber base. The move appears to be part of a new program that the company has released. They are looking to put an end to the service quality related cancellations that have been running rampant over the course of the last few months. They have become a significant problem within the company, and even though it looks as though they are going to be acquired pending legal look over of the process, it is not currently clear what the company is going to be able to do in order to stop this out flux of their users.

T-Mobile Looks to Offer Free Signal Boosters

Many other users are canceling their service to the poor coverage in their own home. This is something that was first leaked to the press when an internal e-mail was released that stated that this was one of the country’s biggest problems. The memo that was leaked also warned that they should not be offering signal boosters to customers when they are looking to close the sale. In order to get the signal booster the customers will need to open a new two-year service contract, which suggests that they are looking to keep these customers from canceling their service and are looking to get going on long term. It will certainly be interesting to see if they were going to be able to keep the customers from leaving as a result of that poor service in their own home T-Mobile was acquired by AT&T, but it looks as though this could not go through as the courts are looking into whether or not the acquisition was legal.

  • Sony To Offer New Android Tablet S and P
Posted on September 2, 2011 by Pure Mobile

Sony is going to be offering a number of brand-new tablets that showed shakeup atop the industry based on what we have seen so far. They’re going to be launching the Sony Tablet S and Tablet P, the two tablets that were once known as the S1 and the S2. They have been looking to break into the tablet market such as unlocked Motorola Xooom, HTC Flyer, etc..  for quite some time, and have been able to put together a couple of very interesting tablets here. Although the tablets will be equipped with a NVIDIA dual core Tegra 2 processor, which has become an industry standard over the course of the last few years. It will have front and rear facing cameras on both models of the device along with an SD card slot.

Sony To Offer New Android Tablet S and P

The Tablet S will feature a 9.4 inch screen that is ergonomic and will be able to reach to the demands of most users. Sony has also run a web browser and the mix with their quick view, and the P version of the tablet will fall in the center with two separate touchscreens on either side of the tablet.

It is good to see that there are going to be entering the tablet market in an effort to compete with companies such as Apple do a very good job of marketing their own tablets. Although these tablets look very interesting and look as though they will be able to meet the demands of the users who have been eagerly awaiting the release of these tablets. It will be interesting to see if they are able to garner the demand for their tablets in the same way that other companies have. So far the tablet market seems to be dominated by Apple, but there is a lot of space for a company with some quality time at work that way. Perhaps a Sony tablet running on the Google operating system software will be able to be one of the first to truly compete with the iPad in a big way.

  • Android Secures 40% of Smart Phones
Posted on September 2, 2011 by Pure Mobile

The Google Android platform is one that has been constantly gaining popularity since it was first released. They have been able to put together a very excellent smart device operating system that has been able to be picked up by a number of manufacturers to allow them to place on their phones such as unlocked Samsung Galaxy S II, Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc. They were able to increase their total market share by 1% last quarter to grab a total of 40% of the US market device market. The Apple IOS stayed flat at a total of 28% of the overall market and research in motion Blackberry operating system continue to lose 1.2 fault to a total of just 19%.

Android Secures 40% of Smart Phones

The Windows operating systems, Windows mobile, along with the newer Windows phone operating system were able to take up a total of 8% of the market. Many of those who utilize Windows operating systems for their phone are still using the older operating system that was carried with many smart devices when it was first released. Microsoft and rethought their strategy as they saw their market share slip in and was able to release the Windows Phone 7 operating system which has been ahead for the company, but is the start of a very slow climb upwards and market share.

It is not currently clear if Android will be able to reach the 50% market anytime in the near future, but they seem to be slowly but surely climbing in overall market share for smart devices throughout the US. Reaching the 40% mark shows that there are going to be able to continue to climb, and they have already made themselves the largest operating system for smart devices on the market well ahead of competing Apple and Research in Motion operating systems. The trend will continue with Window Phone 7 perhaps making a small dent.

  • NFC is a technology that will undoubtedly be a popular one at some point in the future. They’re still quite a ways to go until the average person is utilizing the NFC technology, and this will require an adoption on a large scale before it becomes part of the everyday use. A number of other companies are also utilizing other technology that will allow them to be able to also use the NFC technology. The companies reportedly plans to invest as much as $100 million in a joint venture that will allow for them to put together a mobile payments network titled Isis. This network would allow for all of the companies to be able to use the technology with unlocked iphone 4 and would allow them to further push the technology forward so that it becomes a regular part of users lies in the future.

AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile Gamble on Mobile Payments

With large companies such as Google also putting together programs such as Google Wallet, which will allow for them to be able to utilize this technology when they have devices that are usable with it.a number of networks are also putting together plans that will allow for them to utilize offer services which will allow them to send coupons to users for various different causes.

It was originally planned for them to launch the new service sometime in the middle of 2012, but a number of different things have slowed down their move to make the change.
