Not only did Facebook for Android get updated, but Twitter also got a very important update as well. Not a whole lot of new features were added, but there were some noticeable ones that people will definitely take a liking to. One thing that they did that people will definitely appreciate is the speed increase. In today’s society, people want things fast and they want things now. With slow loading times, people get tired and stop using that particular application. With the speed increase, more people will be happy and spend more time tweeting on their phone.Arguably the biggest addition is the pull-to-refresh, which the unlocked iPhone4 client has actually had for a while. This is an option bar that is revealed by swiping on a tweet. There are also some new, fresh quoting options for retweets. Along with that, all avatar photos are now high resolution, so you can see them as clearly on your phone as you can at home on your computer. The testers that have tried it out all have had great results and came away extremely happy with the updates. The testers were most happy with the increased loading speed that was mentioned above. Unlike older versions of twitter, the avatars will not load right away with the page; they will be a bit slower, but that is to be expected since they are going to be a higher resolution. They will definitely be worth the wait; you can trust me on that. The upgraded, as expected, will be free, so there is really no reason not to upgrade. You will definitely be happy with the upgrade with these featured, even though there was not a whole lot of new ones added. Increased loading time means more productivity!PureMobile carries a wide range of unlocked cell phones and Android phones such as Motorola Milestone Droid, HTC Desire, Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 etc...

Two years ago, Samsung’s Omnia was the first DivX certified handset in America. They really found a niche for being the first to come out with new technology. They continued that tradition this month by having their Galaxy S be the first smartphone to be Wi-Fi Direct certified. This is another huge stepping stone for Samsung, and the sells on these should go through the roof. Samsung is really building a reputation for giving its smartphones the latest and greatest in terms of compatibility. If you look in the Wi-Fi Alliance’s Wi-Fi Direct certification docket, you will now find the Galaxy S Unlocked cell phone, also known as the Samsung Vibrant in there. Many people already predicted that several of Wi-Fi chipsets and modules were going to be green-lit; this is the first actual device to join forces. Any modern day WiFi device is capable of become Direct certified with relative ease though. It is definitely now a hard switch; No additional hardware is needed, so any WiFi device can be Direct Certified like mentioned above. Because of that factor, you could definitely see a lot more smart phones getting Wi-Fi direct in the near future; the Samsung Galaxy S is basically just ahead of the game if you think of it in that aspect – the leader of the pack.We will continually be on the look out to see if more smartphones follow Samsung Galaxy X’s lead by becoming Wifi Direct Certified in the coming days or months. You can definitely expect that a lot will, and we will keep you updated on which ones decide to do that. It is just only a matter of time before they do, as it will only boost their reputation and value.PureMobile carries a wide range of unlocked cell phones and Android phones such as Samsung i897 Captivate Unlocked, Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, LG Eve, etc...

Motorola, Inc., a US telecommunication company based in Illinois, USA, manufactures numerous electronics products including Motorola cell phones, Internet hardware and network infrastructure, among other items. Motorola is one of the first electronics manufacturers that released the infamous “Flip Phone.” This was one of the first Motorola unlocked cell phones that brought the much-loved “Star Trek” series to life. However, according to recent filings of sales and profit statements, Motorola has slipped from its dominant spot, although the company is finally starting to recover.
With the flood of numerous cell phone manufacturers and big name players in the intensely competitive mobile market, these companies have knocked Motorola off its game and it is easy to see why. Nevertheless, according to the recently released third quarter profit results, times may be changing for the company and its profits appear to be rising.
Reporting a six percent sales increase in its third quarter, Motorola states that this increase has resulted in a net profit for the first time in over three years running. What helped this sales and profit increase is the over 3.8 million devices the company so far in 2010. Sanjay Sha, Motorola Mobility’s CEO, stated that the mobile division showed an upward trend in its momentum over the year, which has led to the profitability.
Adding to Motorola’s recent success are the 22 Motorola cell phones that the company released over the year. Most of these Motorola cell phones use Google’s Android operating system. Google Android OS has become one of the most successful mobile phone operating systems since the release of Apple Inc., iOS. Since its release, Android OS market share has surpassed that of the Apple’s unlocked iphone4 iOS, according to some reports.
Considering the recent profitability of Motorola, the company has decided to split its mobile division into two parts in 2011; Motorola Mobility and Motorola Solutions. The Motorola Mobility division will handle all Motorola cell phones and Motorola Solutions will encompass everything related to governmental and corporate support related.

In the Unlocked cell phone world, there has been news that the FCC has approved the Dell Venue. This has caused confusion among many people who are anxious to buy a new phone. What exactly will people have to look forward to when the Dell Venue is released? The last thing they want is a rehash of another phone, something that many manufacturers have been getting away with. True, new cell phone users might not mind a phone that is a carbon copy of something else, but experienced buyers want phones that are unique.
Now some cell phone users are flocking to Microsoft’s website to determine the usefulness of the Dell Venue. This will provide very basic information, but it does not give you an inside view. Remember, retailers are always going to give a biased opinion about their products. Their main goal is to sell, not to necessarily provide the best value. And if you cannot see through the hype, you might be tempted to buy a phone that is not worth its investment. This could mean wasting hundreds of dollars, depending on how much the phone costs.
To relieve yourself of this problem, you should read reviews from everyday, ordinary people who have nothing to lose if you do not like the phone. Through such reviews, you will get a better understanding of not only the specs, but also whether or not the phone is worth your time and money.
In the case of the Dell Venue, you might have trouble finding decent reviews as many bloggers focus on electronics that have already been released. Fortunately, one blog solves this problem. It will tell you everything you need to know about the Dell Venue, including its specs and level of uniqueness. From this information, you will know for sure if the Dell Venue phone is best for you.

Google's popular Google Maps service is under fire. While many appreciate the service because they can view actual images of areas they are traveling to, the Street View cars are said to have come across very sensitive personal data that if used, could leave the population at risk. These Google Maps applications are available for use on all Google Android phones. While some believe this security breach should be charged with hefty fines for unlawful acts, the Federal Trade Commission feels differently. After Google admitted they did accidentally steal passwords, emails and personal information of Google Android unlocked cell phones users, the FTC chose to drop the matter and not to issue any exorbitant fines.
The stolen data Google came across has been investigated by the FTC. Earlier in the week, Google did confirm that their Street View cars used to capture images for their popular Google Maps service did come across passwords and sensitive information. This public breach of security was completely unintentional and after a serious investigation, the FTC did not find reason to fine Google for this unintentional and unlawful act. Google has made promises to the FTC that all data that was inadvertently stolen will be destroyed and will not be used in any way. Because Google has made written assurances, they will not use the sensitive data now or in the future; the FTC has closed the investigation.
With the commitments made to the FTC, Google is said to have dodged a bullet that could have significantly affected their earnings for 2010. While the Street View car debacle was completely by accident, some consumers are still concerned their information may be at risk. With the inquiry being closed, consumers can rest assured that all sensitive data obtained will be safe and they have nothing to worry about.
