HTC has the distinction of being the largest manufacturer of Windows Mobile portable devices in the world, supplying retailers like Dell, HP/Compaq, Krome and Sharp Corporation. Up until September 2006, HTC supplied mobile phones to i-mate.

In 2006, HTC announced that it was no longer manufacturing phones under the Qtek name. Instead, they will sell mobile phones under its own brand and use the same sales channels to distribute their own HTC GSM phones.
